Shawn’s Kitchen & Piano Bar serves brunch, dinner, dessert, cocktails, live piano, catering, and private events at 565 High Street. Shawn Hunter helped build and run the operation for three years, growing net sales from $363K in 2023 to over $2M in 2024.
Since he stepped back, performance has softened. The plan: acquire the business, bring hands-on operating focus back full-time, and reposition it under a name and identity built to last.

The Rebrand
Design Direction
These renderings reposition the existing space at 565 High Street — same footprint, same bar, same fireplace, same storefront — with the bar room reworked around a piano. The palette moves to deep navy, warm ivory, and copper, with Caribbean character carried through material and light rather than bright paint. The specified colors are Benjamin Moore Hale Navy HC-154 below the picture rail and Ballet White OC-9 above it, both in Scuff-X for washability, with Old Navy 2063-10 in Aura Exterior for the storefront framing. The $20,000 rebrand and marketing allocation funds this work.
Design renderings, not photographs of completed spaces. Paint, lighting, banquette seating, and the piano placement carry the majority of the visual change and are scoped as phase one; floor refinishing and brick limewashing follow in phase two. Exterior signage and illumination are subject to Town of Dedham sign permitting.
